"Personal boundaries operate in two directions, affecting both the incoming and outgoing interactions between people". ——Katherine, Anne
Relationship Lab focuses on the view of the border of interpersonal relationships, which refers to your understanding of where your place is in a relationship. The psychologist Katherine, Anne says "Personal boundaries operate in two directions, affecting both the incoming and outgoing interactions between people". It always plagues our relationships. Close people can get close to each other and take off their defenses; strangers need to maintain borders and not violate each other. The Psychologist Raymond Lloyd Richmond says “Boundaries can have a counter-intuitive element to them because it can seem that setting boundaries is rude or cruel. A lack of boundaries, however, is actually rude to others and is cruel to others and to yourself. Only by maintaining healthy boundaries can you demonstrate real love for yourself and for others.” So, I think it's not an easy thing to set boundaries in a relationship. For the distance between hearts cannot be measured on a physical scale. For example, there are those who are far from the each, but heart to heart; there are those who are close to it, but they are almost strangers.Backing to the relationship, we need to be mindful of where we are in the relationship. And the proportion of individuals is the most obvious manifestation of the relationship. It may be more direct to analyze a relationship from a personal perspective.
COVID-19 sparked my thinking about the relationships between people. Family members, friends, even strangers. Under COVID-19, I recorded Melbourne under lockdown through video. A space for art with very few people, and the subtle relationship between people, between people and animals, between people and nature.
During the COVID19 period, according to research mental and mental health problems became more serious, with an upward trend, due to long periods of isolation and maintaining social distance.
The issue of social and social relations became more important.
The heart of this project lies in delivery. When you see it, you will know the story of a stranger and I would want everyone to leave their stories and memories for the next person, like little notes and message boards. In the public space, we rub shoulders with different people every day, and we never try to actively get to know people because they are strangers. It's kind of weird that we're just as easily moved by strangers. It was like going through a bad day, I went to 7-11 to get something and the clerk saw that my finger was cut and gave me a Band-Aid. It was a ray of sunshine on my dark day.
With these thoughts in mind, the project CLOUD provided inspiration for my project.
For creating my projects I use the concepts and methods of collecting people's memories and recreating objects. For the creation of my projects I use the concept and method of collecting people's memory stories, and re-creating objects. Artist Chiharu Shioda's work has a unique understanding of the relationship between collection and memory. And my presentation examines the solemn form of Lee Mingwei's epistolary project.
I hope that my work will impact people's lives and that it may lead you to a certain
